Wow, is what comes to mind over the hate in a few of the replies. To clarify a few points, the post was about checking out my studio. No where did the post say "hey check out the beat I made". Secondly my 14 year old son made the beat like 10 min before I made the video, and it was probably his 3rd time using the MPC. So just to be clear, yes Im nice with the 5000. The stickers on the Macs have been on there for 2 years from when they were hooked up at my store. The reason I have 2 control surfaces is so I have 16 active faders when Im mixing tracks in Pro Tools right there without nudging. I like that kind of workflow, it works for me. Im getting a new Digi control surface in a few weeks, either a C24 or the newest one they have out now, so Ill unhook these 2 when I get it. The MPC500 I use in my Escalade hooked up to the Pioneer Navigation so I can mess around with it when I go places. It plays thru my truck speakers. I have all the Blue mics because I like how they sound. I have a U87 because I like how it sounds. I buy gear for my studio that will get use out of it. I have a few celebrity clients/friends that record music at my house so I try to provide nice gear for them to use, its not a"napolean complex as someone stated". I may be have money but I dont act like a arrogant ****. I have friends who dont have money, and I dont act like Im better than them. Im sure I could find your studio pics somewhere and tell you how shitty your gear is, but thats not me. I do like producing beats but thats something I do when I have time. Im more on the engineering side of the music industry. Ill post a video of me making a dope beat to pacify you, but then again you'd probably still have a negative comment. Just cant please everybody. To those who seen my video and werent rude, Id like to say thank you. Lu

No hate Lu, cause I am sure with all that gear you can get down and if you wanted to you would have done a better instrumental than the one playing in the video, but damn that little hight hat ditty was so annoying I had to turn off the sound just to view the full video of the studio; you just could have picked something or anything better than that.

Also curious if..."@macscope LOL! actually Ive been in the studio alot making tracks and recording vocals for people. A buddy of mine who plays for the Baltimore Ravens was just in doing a few songs. The one playing in the video is a track i made in like 3 min jst to have some sound in the backround of the video. I am wondering which story is true also. There is certainly a lot of nice gear in the video. Seems kinda strange in the YouTube video, the lady gave the OP "5 more minutes of play time" after which all the stuff is getting "cut off". Unless you are 15 years old - no one would ever say something like that to you in your own studio. But if you are a visitor, guest or kid, sure they would. It appears that the OP is filming someones Home Studio and passing it off as his. I could be way off base, but it sure seems suspect!

The girl in the video is my fiance so yes you are way off base. She said 5 more min of playtime because we live together, and she thinks the studio is my playground. If you watch the video again pause it at 1:05 and look at the imac screen, you will see me on stickam shooting the youtube video, theres a text overlay on my stickam cam that says Lu Scola's Recording Studio. So yes this is my own studio. No Im not 15. She was joking around just like when she said I drugged her. Yes my son made the beat. The video is about the studio setup, not the beat. Ill delete the video and make a new one. The video was shot on a cell phone and the beat was turned up a little too loud. Im on Stickam in my studio all the time so feel free to search Luscola on there and tune in. I started with just the IMac and a MBox about 7-8 months ago.

Its cool mane, I have a gear obsession...lol! Yea I did buy alot of Blue mics, but I really like them and they sound great. I really like the Kiwi going thru the 737, or my LA610. The baby bottle, blueberry, and bluebird sound great thru the Blue Robbie Mic-pre. Like I said I do more engineering, recording vocals so having a nice variety of mics in the cabinet is a must. Theres a few other mics Im buying (not blue) then I'll be pretty set for awhile. My next spree will be spent on 3-4 high end mic-pre's, and a C24 control surface. I did some new videos this evening that Im going to edit a little, then Ill post them. They are more in depth, about my gear/connections, software, and what plug-ins I use. I apoloigize If I seemed rude in any way. I just got a little heated when I post a video about my studio, and I get bashed about a beat. If somebody didnt like the beat, then I myself woulda prolly said "nice studio, but I wasnt really feeling the beat in the backround" Instead I hear some extreme comments, so I got a little pissed. Lu
