Kaiwai K5000 -anyone recomend or use one?

one of my mates who i get my cheap hook ups on equipment through, says he has one of these...

any comments on this peice, or anyone use one?

it's gonna be an addition to my fantom x6/mpc2500 combo.....

i'ma search through some reviews when i can, just thought i'd ask first..

Well, the keyboard is realy nice feel to it.. And the sounds are really unique due to its additive type of programming style. but knowing what your doing when programming is going to take alot of studying. There is a book out about how to do that programming if you searched you could find it. Modifying the presets is no problem though, some fun tewaking to be had if you get the -s version with the knob bank. They did make a standalone knob box for it, you may be able to find one if you get a non-s version.

i think my guy has this also, he said it comes with 'an amp' or what looks like one i guess, straight away i thought it was some kind of module or something..
i'll research that now.

can you maybe drop a pic of this 'knob-box'..

K5000 macro control I dont know if it would be a simple MIDI controller thing of it some kawai protocol..? anyway it just gives you the knob section from the S version..
