i don't know if anyone would actually lookat this thread and be of any assistance , but its worth a shot...so after numerous hours of research and trial and error, i did finally end up getting my reason to be slaved to my mpc 2xl..here are my connections and how i got it to work: props to sparq the video was good, but for the people that don't know this you will need to have it set up like this:
from your midi controller : usb out to usb in computer (to audition sounds stand alone w/ out mpc ) midi out on midi controller (keyboard) to midi in 1 on mpc 2xl
mpc 2xl : midi out to midi in on soundcard interface and midi out on soundcard interface to midi in on mpc (midi in 2 for me since midi in 1 is taken up by midi controller keyvoard )
so heres my problem...i get everything working and i got reason setup in preferences to use my interfaces midi . so everything is working fine, but after the first loop of hearing what i recorded, the keyboard will sustain a note (as if the midi signal went bad) and my mpc will play back what i just recorded for the first loop, but after the first loop it sounds like a different key from what i played is being sustained and it doesn't stop playing (as if i held the key down the whole time) until i mouse over to the stop buttom on reason, but in result will start up again... does anyone know what i can do to fix this ? i know i have my configuration configured, its' just this one thing thats holding me back from being able to slave reason, audition and use my midi controller to record notes on mpc, and be able to do all sequencing through the mpc 2xl... can someone help me on this one, i know theres got to be something i'm doin wrong or might've overlooked...anyone been in the same position i'm faced with now? to the more educated : I need your assistance please respond or pm me thanks in advance
