adding keys

im thinkinking about adding a keyboard to my setup so i can play my own stuff over my sampled beats. whats the easiest way to connect it to my mpc1000?

I have a MPC2500 with a Triton and a pro-tools LE rig.

MPC MIDI OUT -> TRITON MIDI IN
TRITON MIDI OUT -> MPC MIDI IN
TRITON MIDI THROUGH -> DIGI002 MIDI IN

That way I can sequence the midi in the MP using ether the Triton patches or any VSTi in Pro-tools, just assign the right midi channels and it´s done. I´ve accomplished a good workflow that way. U can do it with a simple keyboard controller and VSTi´s also if u have a audio interface with midi and a sequencer.
