I agree 100% with this. Its like you got 50 grand and went str8 to guitar center, and just started pointing at shit. You have a MacPro 8-core, thats more then enough power anyone will ever need/ Just throw 5 1tb HD's in there and you got storage for millenia. On top of that, yopu have another Mac Pro, and Imac, 4 IPads, a mac mini....wtf do you need that many mac products for? Plus the MPC 5000, mpc 500, Yamaha Motif, and a Roland Fantom x6? What the hell you need that many samplers for? Plus you got Blu's whole damn mic locker, and each one set against the wall.....I understand the mic-whoring, but keep em covered, one stand in the booth, mics in the cases. Thats how diaphrams get dusty, dog! With all that gear,m I thaught u knew better. Maybe I just liek to keep things simple, but good job with the studio. I really hope u aint the "sunglasses in tha boof" guy, cause thats arrogance at its finest. I also hope you put out quality music with all that gear, not this new age euro hip pop trash we hear nowadays. Ide rather listen to Hollywood Undead than the trash that guy(sunglasses) was spewin.


But other than that, if you want to get really hard core into beatmaking(I read it was a hobby in an earlier post) may I suggest the old saying less is more? I used to have like 4 drum machines, a MPC 1000,3 synths, and a DJ setup in which I sampled from, and let me tell you, downgrading to an older MPC 2000xl, 2 cheepo electronic keyboards, and one turntable, my beats are 10x better. Maybe not as good as some cats, but a definate improvement on myself overall.




But yeah, I totally feel you on the mic obsession.

My mics are always kept in there cases when not in use. I had them out for the video. When I have somebody in the booth I only have one stand in there, and the mic they are using.

As of this past friday, me and my friend are planning to lease a nice building to build a high end recording studio. We are going to be looking for talented musicians, and one or two people who make beats to join our new record label. He is a NFL player, and has alot of industry connects. If any of you guys know someone who would be interested, please PM me, to discuss in further detail. He will be in the lab with me this friday coming up. Were gonna make a video promoting our new studio. The new lab will have the state of the art everything from the floor plan, acoustic treatment, to gear. We are trying to come up with a name of our label, and a logo.

Keep doing your thing. I use to be a gear head years ago and would literally just buy shit and not fully use them. Nothing wrong with that.
I think a C24 would suit you best than the 2 control surfaces your using. Thumbs up bro.

I may be have money but I dont act like a arrogant ****. I have friends who dont have money, and I dont act like Im better than them. Im sure I could find your studio pics somewhere and tell you how **** your gear is, but thats not me. I do like producing beats but thats something I do when I have time. Im more on the engineering side of the music industry. Ill post a video of me making a dope beat to pacify you, but then again you'd probably still have a negative comment. I am in Baltimore, Maryland. My partner lives up here too, but he also lives in Miami wheres he from 2-3 months during the off season until camps start up. Anybody close to Maryland, DE. NY. NJ. PA. VA. N.C- S.C. GA. FL. is a plus but not necessarily a requirement.
