Where do i stand on the question? Bout jackin samples off your peers? I think its real wack. I had some kid over hear the one time and i was mixing all his beats down and in the middle of the beat all of a sudden i heard, questions, by lootpack, right in the middle of the hook. I almost shi* my self when i heard it. I said to him this is lootpack in disgust then he was like, damn ur the only person i know that would have got that. Im like yo u sampled off a current hip hop album, theres tons of people that know. This is alot worse then jackin a snare or kick from a current hip hop record, but i look down at that cat and his methods now. This one kid i know came here with a hot beat, then in the middle of it he just says, how u like that kick? then he said it was off biggies first album. I looked at him different after that too.
anyways to me its more of a respect thing. I think its lazy and wack and i wouldnt want people cuttin up my beats for a drum kit. I can understand why and i know that people dont really give a fuc* but say primo sampled a kick off a funk record, then i came along 5 yrs later adn jacked it, then some other kid comes down the road later and jacks me, isnt that a bit corny? i would feel like a biter then. Sampling is cool because u are using old music to make new music. U are breathing new life, just by listening to that music, into that artist's work. Its like resurecting the mood and vibe from that record 30 yrs ago into a new joint that is relevent today. That to me is crazy. To go and just bootleg this cats kits, thats kinda just taking the easy way out. U gotta do what u gotta do, but i think its kinda chessy. I will never jack my peers kits. That is seriously some wack shit in my eyes. Dont u get like parts of the melodies in the drums? haha. just some lame shit. But if thats how u get down then so do it. Its like the network that made the first reality show, then u got the knock off shows that incoperate all the lil parts from other shows, then u get the crazy wack nonsense like who wants to marry my wife, who might have a dic*, for a million dolllars, on an island shows. its just he same crap reguritated into this new shi* that is just total crap. cause non of it is original.

i dont discredit hip hop or hate the indie shit. its just not appealing to me anymore. Its like teeny bopper shit, dudes cryin bout girls and emotions and all that nonsense, or how super scientifical and who got the biggest theasarus. Just not my cup of tea. I feel alot of them cats feel themselves too much. Some got real talent, but alot just have a loyal fanbase that is very close and make them hot after a while, regardless of skills. But thats my opinion. Which im entitled too. Im not gonna sit here and debate "hip hop 101" with u cause i aint got my textbook chief. There really is no rules to this game. U can respect the elders and learn the history of this s*it and this culture but it isnt written in stone. The ones that are talkin on this board about jackin drums, usally got the wackest beats. there are a few exceptions, but not many

Im new to the board and all..but when i read some of the stuff da kid mattmatikz say'z...iz bias! underground, mainstream...who carez....just stay tru to what ya do, make musik! hardcore, horrocore, dsouth, midwest, underground, blah blah....hiphop supposed to be diff. if erbody sounded da same...shit would be duller dan it iz!
