How do you Get your Drums?

Hi,
Since i get my MPC 2000 xl, i chose to sample all my drums on my own. So, i listened for all my soul, funk and jazz vinyls and sampled every snare, kicks and hats i found.
But i realised that there was still some sound that i couldn't find like claps, tambourins, bells, or clean hats and that it was not that easy to get a clean sample from a speed tempo or disorganised loop.
So i want to ask you how you get your drums? Is there good records with drums sounds that you can easily sample, is there some good kits that you can buy?
I don't want MP3 kits which everyone download on the internet, i need real old school drums!

My advice would be, keep listening to all kinds of music, new or old. Dont be afraid to sample from cd's/youtube/whatever either.

Though this is free and just for starters, there's a lot of links to drum kits/sounds or where you can buy them.

You just gotta check 'em out and make a decision.

I usually buy drum packs, but I am very picky in that matter. I usually do extensive research on how the kit was made and check the samples beforehand. As a matter of fact, I recently got the Sounds In HD collection for 80 bucks, and I love it!

most of my hand percussion and things like that i have in dwnloaded packs off the net, always free. i like to use kicks and such from them as well personally, as i can tune/effect them in my daw then record that into my mpc giving me good control over what i use.

and yeah i have found numerous good breaks as well as clean hats and things on records, so keep looking.

finde the best drum packs like sounds in hd and urban fire then go hunt torrent n download sites and save urself some cash, or keep diggin which ever u prefer

dude's got a hell of a price on the kit & no way to listen to it before i go pay that much for a kit that could be garbage

i don't want any pre-layered kits like ive bought before

I dug for em... but popular drum sounds, I bought (808,909,etc.). Some got sampled from keyboards/modules.

Has anyone bought any drum kits from this site?
