Weird Issue

Hey.

Well I am having trouble loading sounds into my MPC2500. I'm trying to load files from CD/DVDs. It shows the folders but never the files. These are wave files I'm trying to load, and I know that they are compatible. I've been at least able to load them into my MPC1000 via USB. I do not have a hard drive in the 2500 right now, and it freezes every time I pop in the CF Card. However that may be due to a bent pin.

Any ideas?

This is a common problem and it's more than likely due to the bent pin. You need to be very gentle with a pair of tweezers or small needle nose pliers to bend the pin back. Too much pressure will snap the pin. Do this with your MPC unplugged of course. If you feel uncomfortable doing it, then you need to find someone who can. It's a delicate job that takes a lot of patience. Otherwise, if it breaks, you'll need to buy the whole PC Board assembly, which is at least $125 or more.
