Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

I just purchased the MPC500. This is a totally new world for me. I am now under the impression that the CF came with sample sounds; however, I have reformatted my CF several times screwing around trying to figure this machine out. Is there any easy way to get these sounds/samples back? I have visited the Akai site and can't find anything.

I did purchase BEAT MAKING ON THE MPC500 and I can see that it is going to be a great help for me as I am starting from square one. :D

I bought my MPC 500 used, so no idea if there were samples on the CF or not... but my guess would be that it'd be the same samples that you probably have in the firmware that is used to autoload. Probably nothing too exciting.

Don't be afraid to sample your own content and make some cool sounds yourself :)

Thanks... I am really looking forward to sampling my own sounds once I learn a bit more.
