alright so when i copy a sample from a stereo layer, the original (the one i copied) is now only playing on the left side. and the new one is stereo. how do i properly do this?

Are there any other ways to get the instrument files taken from the EPS library CDs to Zip disk other then EPSDISK ?. Thats soooo hard to use!!!

I have just read all 35 pages and i have a few Q & A's

1. I read somewhere in the thread that the digital screen/purplish ASR have more problems then the old display ones, can anyone elaborate on this ?.

2. A few of my arrows keys are busted has anyone done the repairs, if so how hard is it ?.

I heard that it was the other way around... that the purple screen units were more reliable. I have a purple screen here and it works great.

Thats good to hear, do you only use the ASR to make music ?. I ask cause i use my MPC 1000 to sequence the ASR as i have found when i record a sequences on the ASR it takes for ever to shuffle or what ever thinking it does before taking me back to my sequence. Is this normal MP3 ?.

The MPC is a great machine but was limiting creativity, the ASR 10 blows my mind!

Also i have read all 35 odd pages and cannot find out if you can make a 3.53 boot disk with a USB floppy drive on your PC ?. Chicken Systems will not give you the same options when you right click as you get when its a USB Zip drive even know both have been formatted in the ASR 10.

I don't feel limited by the MPC (1k with JJ OS2XL) at all, but I use it for what its best at (sequencer, drum sampler, and traditional chopping) and I use the ASR for things that the MPC isn't good at or can't do (effects, crossfade looping, and transwaves). I don't chop samples or sequence on the ASR.
