PLEASE HELP... cant get six track to record at once

i know that left and right of the stereo outs act as 2 sep channels when panned to one side but no matter what way i pan i cant hear any sound......EX i have track track 1 in protools set to channel 1 on my interface and that pluged into the right stereo port so no matter if i set to 1.2 and pan left or right no sound if i set to 3.4 and pan left or right still no sound... please help how do i make this work i kn0w it can be done ive seen it and my ports work fine if i leave them as stereo so they aint the prob

Do you have monitoring turned on in ProTools?

If you plug a headphone/speaker/monitor into the L/R/1/2/3/4 do you get any audio?

yes i have it on and they work fine with headphones and in stereo its just when i set left and right to mono i get no sound
