NEED HELP switching from {jj os/free} to {jj os1}

I'm swiitching from jj os /free version to jj os1. Would someone please tell me about this

[hold down erase button while turning machine on] So do I need to do this when? before anything/

before downlaoding/ after downloading/ after everything is done/ the instruction step by step

says to hold down window button SO when and/or should I do this when switching jj os[FREE]to jj os1

IT DOES SAY IN BOLD RED AT BOTTOM > HOLD ERASE WHILE TURNING MACHINE ON

Hold erase once you power on after you load any new OS

you don't need to hold ERASE before downloading the new OS, because you download it with your computer, not the mpc.

you hold down ERASE before you turn the mpc on.
you turn the mpc on before you use it.





you hold down WINDOW to install the new OS. Hold down ERASE when you power up after installing

holding ERASE while turning on the power clears any settings and restores the defaults. That avoids any problems caused by differences in settings between different OS
