Is there a comparable (to the MPC 60) AKAI (rack-)sampler?

No, they don't. Then you would also need an ASQ10.

s950 is nice... like a 60 with a continuously variable samplin rate, and a low pass filter!!!

why do people pay lots for mpc 3000s, isnt it cheaper and more flexible to buy an asq10+ sampler(s)?

They go for around € 250 here (Netherlands/Belgium) if you can find them. Don't expect them to be in mint condition like this one though:

It amazes me that ASQ-10s are selling for more than MPC 60s now... The ASQ is the same as a MPC 60 but without the sampler.

Two other 12-bit Akai samplers are the S612 and S700... Great sounding units especially for drums but the problem with them is that they take those pesky Quickdisks which are not easy to find.
