Reason 5 new block sequencing feature (MPC like).

Hello guys. I'm a long time Reason user, but never went in depth on it up until now. I was looking through the features and it is all nice (Kong), but I overlooked block sequencing.
I was around here for some time and I came across talk about how dope it would be to have software sequencer like in MPC. Seems new Reason 5 will have it. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN?
Maybe it's not a big deal for all "sample only" headz here, but for all software heads it's a big step in the future. I love MPC sequencer and it's the only reason I'm still keeping it. I'm just a little worried that it might not work as smooth as it works on MPC, but I do believe in Propellerheads and I think they will make it right.
Just on side note, I think they are trying to make something close to software MPC - ya know Kong, Block sequencing.
I'm excited and I think this will be a big upgrade!

Heard Cubase have something similiar to this, but I never **** with it and I even don't plan to do it.

It looks like a handy arrangement tool, but it's not a feature that will lure me into updating Reason. That's because I don't use Reason on its own. When I use Reason (not very often these days), I have it ReWired to Cubase and I don't like to work with two sequencers at the same time. I want the entire arrangement in one view. And like you said, Cubase has the Arranger Track.

I see you're studying the Logic manual. Does Logic have a similar feature?

Yes, Kong is interesting. I hope you can combine the physical modeling modules and the synth modules to create convincing sounding bassdrums from scratch, because I'm getting a little tired of using my favorite bassdrums over and over again.

I do not see much difference with how it used to be, I would always make those blocks myself. Am I missing something?

Idk :p. I'm not done with Reason manual yet . But I think it doesn't 'cus I've red like 150 pages and they said nothing about it.

Reason 5 looks BADASS. I'm definitely upgrading. Being an owner of a microKorg and an Electribe I have to say Korg constantly impresses me and I can't wait to play with the new Reason features. I'm fairly sure it'll be worth the $129 upgrade.

However.. I wanted to note that if you use any other DAW that supports VSTs, check out NI's Battery.
