I have been messing with this thing for a few hours and still can not get any sound out of the headphones or the back outputs. Does anyone know maybe if there is some setting i missed? This 4000 does not have the 8 outputs only the 2 main outs. maybe i need to set that somewhere , ok this sucks thanks :x

okay so since it was shipped to you it may have been shook-en up a bit. Maybe open it up and search for something that may not be connected properly.

well whats funny is after taking it out of the box i did hear something like a loose screw rolling around inside but i just thought hmm maybe its just spare inside or something but now im thinkng that lose thing inside could be related.. do you know of any instructions of how to open up this thing? I just updated the os from 1.45 to 1.71 hoping that would help but no luck. ok thanks

You check the master level in "Global"?

Go to sample page, go to trim page hit the pads to see if you can hear the sounds. If you can then you need to assign a program to a part.

Do all of the above and check the miscellanus page to see if the metronome is up, global page volume is up, and even try rebooting the os. Coming from the 2xl too you have to have a multi first which are the parts, then assign the programs to the parts.

If all fails either contact the seller for a return or take it to a shop for repairs.
