Unable to delete anything from my memory card

I'm running jjos 4.99. Every time I try to delete a folder or sample from the save screen, it freezes up. When I go into usb mode to delete the item manualy from my computer, Im able to remove it from the drive but when I'm back in the load screen, the folder or sample is still there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you format the card on the MPC or PC...??

If on the PC...format the card then on the MPC and try again.

I cant reformat because it freezes when I do so

First check if there is a pin bent of the card reader on the MPC.
If so try to very carefully bent it back in position.

Next to this....try formatting the card first on your PC...then your MPC.

The problem with the CF boards could also be a pin that got pushed back through the plastic and isn't making good contact. So it might be a good idea to pop off the case and have a look to see if all the pins are in order... not bent and not pushing back through the plastic bracket that holds them.

Hey guys thanks for your help, sorry I haven't kept you updated. I realized that the problem was because I loaded a sample into the drive as a mp3 format and it must have had some negative effect internally. It is a old memory card any way so I figure I'll just buy a new one.

seems unlikely that would cause a problem
