Well, the reason for that is simple.

A product 'marketed' as an MPC Mixtape with tracks produced wholly in software is not what this series should be about.

We want this Mixtape to be authentic and showcase the one thing which brought us all here to these forums.

I tried to make the submission rules as inclusive as possible, but members without MPC's must understand that this Mixtape series has a central focus, the MPC machines and what they can do.

You could always collaborate (co-produce) a track with another member who has an MPC or take part in one of the other projects happening on the forums...

hey clint could you possibly get other forum members who rap, have a listen to the list of instrumentals submitted for the mixtape..i dont know if this was done before, but it could make things interesting, make the the tape a lil more collaborative.

Well thats a possibilty, but it will affect the schedule.

When I thought about that, it added a couple of weeks to the project and a bit more work for myself too.

Lets see if any Artists/ Performers register an interest in voicing an instrumental track, if there's enough interest we'll do it.

Do bear in mind that it is possible to ruin a good beat by having below par vocals added to it, nobody wants that.

just an FYI. This would take WAAAY too long. These projects need to have real deadlines because before you know it the project is 3 months late.

Whaaaat! That never happens!

The only thing I have an issue with is the song length. I rarely have songs under 4 minutes. Will you deny a song that is around 4:00 to 4:15-30?

This version should have very good sound quality given the requirements.

Well I'm really after tracks produced specifically for the Mixtape so its easy to get the length within limits.

But hey, if you want me to edit it down to length...

does maschine with MPC emulation count?
