hooking up the mpc with the PC?

Heyy.
Ive been reading the manual for 20min now and i cant find out how to use my MPC with my PC and Fruityloops...

I have an M-audio 61 keystation with is a Midi controller, on that one u just have a USB cable to hook it up with the PC.
At first i though it was the same with the MPC but i now understand that the USB cable is only for transfering samples to the CF card.
So i got down to the music store and he gave me a Midi Sonic 2x2 (http://www.gpanagopoulos.com/eshop/imag ... isonic.jpg).
The PC still dont recognize the mpc.

what is it exactly you are trying to do.. what your purpose of connecting the two..

what is it exactly you are trying to do.. what your purpose of connecting the two..

I want to control samples in Fruityloops with my MPC. Just use it as a midi controller

well then you just need to connect the midi out, and no you wont need any drivers for the mp. in fruity loops wherever it is that you select midi control surfaces.. thats where it should recognize your midisonic.. you have to change your mpc midi settings to sync out as well.. im not familiar with the 500 so i dont know exactly how to do that..

I'm pretty sure you can use the 500 in your studio too...
