I am selling my g4 to get a G5. When I place the order I will also purchase this software.

My current plan is, sing, hum, or whistle into melodyne(sounds like a phizer product). Convert my humming into MIDI. Send Midi To synths. Work on harmonys in melodyne. Then sample different parts into mpc4000 and chop up.

Also very intersting to rap into.
What do you guys think???? Any Special ideas or angles you guys would work this from???

Become a singer or rapper and correct the shit in the program :D But I wouldn`t go on stage unless my chops were up to snuff. I`m checking out the demo now. it will change home studio production for sure. Let the humming begin excellent idea. Damn the budget`s going to hurt. Is it easy to understand the manual none of this pdf stuff is it? Filter a sample for different instrumentals into separate tracks and midi into new instrumentals and arrange away.

yeah man i been messing with it all day and there is a lot of shit u can do with it. Just for tweakin loops its crazy. I was making varied solos with it out of one note. Like a full melody with harmoines.

aight i played with it for a while yesterday and i have to say its real cool but the interface is a lil akward at first, i had probs doin some simple things, but i should get over the curve soon. Its crazy though. I was takin loops and droppin them into the track screen and then u have to detect the meloldy. it uses diff algortihims for diff instumensts so it can detect the notes better. once its like that u have more flexabitly with the audio. it makes like the audio layed out on piano roll.

if u double click the audio it will bring u into a editing screen that is just like piano roll tellin u what note ur on, on the left. Then from there u can quantize, stretch the notes, And u can snap it to, note, scale, and some more options. what this does is makes blue boxs for where the notes are. say i got a loop and its a riff with like 4 notes goin up a major scale, i can just start rearraging the notes like piano roll and it still keeps the performace data, like how it was played starting from the begining of the loop. it keeps the flow from note to note as it was being played.

I gotta say for loops this ish is a power house and for vocals it would be crazy. U have so much flexabilty to pitch and quantize and timestretch more then anything i have ever seen. u can pretty much take one note and turn it into a whole solo. by pitchin and pulling it and using the performance envelope to link notes together to make them appear as if they were being played live. outta like one horn stab i made an 8 bar solo.
