Hi there,

I would like to know a good workflow for using an MPC with Logic 9.

I normally do my beats and sampling in my MPC and after I record everything in Logic and incorporte other vst instruments into the song without using the MPC anymore..

If somebody has an interesting workflowm, more efficient than this I would to know it.. to exchange on the subject.

Ideally, it would be nice to start directly building beats with Logic and the MPC directly. So Logic should be synchronized to the MPC to have the same tempo and starting point and the MPC should be abble to toggle the plugins inside Logic... I know there is a few ways to do it and I tried but it's difficult to have a perfect synchro between the MPC and Logic.... How do you work it out ???

Thanks for your advices :-)

If you look around in the right places you will find that many people here use Logic with MPC's.

So do yourself a favour, make beats your way, and when you have a real question...don't be afraid to ask it.

So check out the Logic Pro thread

Its your software. Learn it. Practice with it. Use it.

Same goes for the MPC.

Thx for your answer man. Just for info I am not a beginner with Logic, I am master certified on this software.
I make beats for a while now but I recently owned an MPC and I don't find the synchro with Logic very easy :-(

To precise my question :

My goal would be to toggle 16 midi tracks (containing software instruments) using the MPC and to have perfect synchro (Logic /MPC) while recording my midi tracks with the MP...

I made the MPC as master so that when I press play on the MPC it toggles logic but what do you do to make the 2 synchronising perfectly on the start point, do you use the metronome from Logic or the one on the MP ?

I also tried to toggle each midi track via the MPC but I cannot record a midi drum sequence only it records all my midi tracks as one track and I cannot toggle 16 tracks independently.. I followed a few tutorials but it didn't work for me so I tried to find answers here..

Cheers.

ps : sorry for my english ( I am french..)

Thanks for the compliment.

My contribution to this thread was far more positive than yours.

If dude is 'Master Certified' he should know the basics at least, my advice to him was right on the money.

We see it all the time, someone posting the same question on various forums, claiming to know everything but they actually know very little. What he really wanted was SPOONFEEDING, someone to hold his hand without him having to engage his brain. You know, tell him to do this and then do that and suddenly BINGO there you have it! But how does it work and more importantly, why?

And while I have your attention 'Stop replying to spam threads'.

We don't direct people to FP for solutions when we have the answers here, so it's a wrap.
