Cicatrix wrote:Oh yeah, got my white screen from MPCstuff in last night. Looks sick. Also while I was at it I installed black buttons and did the solid state hard drive modification. Props to Triple-X for giving the whereabouts to that IDE to CF card adapter. One thing I noticed when putting the jumper on cable select is that you really have to almost bend the jumper to the left ever so slightly because it's almost is to big. I guess you could always shave a little plastic off the jumper or just get a smaller jumper, no big deal. It's amazing some of the mods you guys are coming up with! I wanted to get all the white lettering taken off and have it replaced with gloss black lettering. I think it would look cool with the sort of satin black finish of the MPC. I don't know if I would have to repaint the whole case to do that though. I don't know how the lettering would be put on.

The screen that I got from MPCstuff looks like it's better built than the original as well. I know all these mods have been done before, although I'm not sure about the cursor arrows but, now it's been done to mine!

damn i pop back on this thread after months of being absent and Im scrolling and see this and for a second thought it was mine. then the arrows on the cursor, the white knob tops and the red leds caught my eye.

so obviously I like your joint then.. lol
although i do like mine better LOL.. and your welcome for the card reader tip and all that.

but yo.. WUTUP EVERYONE.
its been a while..
I aint really changed nothing on my joint.. I did paint my Rec volume knob red though.. with a black top.. and the volume knob is now black with a red top. I did my tap tempo red but I aint like it and took it off..

I got to a point where I was spending more time phuckin with how my mpc looked rather than what I could bang out with it.
having just updated to OSXL1.34 (coming from OS2 despite having OSXL) Im loving my mpc like the day I got it all over again.

i'm not feeling those wooden panels 'cause they're too far out in the front and therefore in the way of the CD drive... i'll still recommend the custom ones from the UK for now. on the other hand, that black screen would look real nice on one of those blacked-out MPCs in here... although i've got a feeling it may look more navy blue than black...

MMMM...... I agree that the shape does not seem 'appropriate' to the 2k5. Why anybody has done some 'replicas' of the original cheeks ? I prefer those from pimp-my-mpc, although they don't fit perfectly the faceplate  ....

Here is a new step of my "SOON-fully-customized" 2k5  .
I've still much work on it (finish painting and varnishing different parts and buttons, white screen to install ....) :x :x

arf, I just need to be sooooo patient :| :| :| :|

that looks nice so far... but regarding the wooden sides... if someone were to make them the same as the factory ones it would look pretty wack actually... i hate how the factory side panels don't even cover the entire side all the way to the back... wood covering the sides only partially would look off if you ask me...

im just absolutely unhappy with the whole wierd plastic side thing. wtf where they thinking? was it cheaper to make or what? i would have prefered straight up solid metal or atleast plastic sides without wierd angles like the mpc1k
