The best needle for sampling?

Hello, I know there has been a topic like this before, but there were only like two answers and they weren't of quality so I am hoping to get better responses.

What would be the best cartidge/needle combo for sampling from a STANTON T92

My budget is the $100-150 range, and I won't be scratching or DJ'ing.

Just pure SAMPLING!

I want the best quality, with a nice warm sound.

arkiv or white label are my two favorites...was on white label for good minute until I got my hands on arkiv

Sick. It's not too expensive and I always hear people rant about it, I might go for it unless I can get a deal on an Ortofon. What kinda sound does it got?

the tone I got (combined with my MFC) is mellow, the highs are tamed and the low end is round. I like crackle but I dont want it to sound like sh*t. And it does a pretty good job of sticking to the needle for the more beat up records

Sound is also dependent on what kind of phono pre you got and how your turntable is constructed. So it's hard to say how it sounds! Just try it!

BTW: What kind of phono pre do you use? The one in your DJ mixer? You will dramatically improve sound quality by using a dedicated phono preamp like this one: Cambridge Phono Stage Really! If you don't have a totally trash cartridge then change the preamp first. You'll never get the best sound with a bloody lousy preamp! And the ones built into DJ mixers are cr*p all the time, even in the more expensive ones! Spend your money on an amp! Try the one from amazon and send it back if the effect is not to your liking!

I use a Stanton T92 TT, which has a pre-amp built in.

I have several shure cardridges for every occasion. The 447 mentioned here is for turntablism. Very solid(no skipping), but sounds very harsh and that's why it's perfect for scratching.

If I were you I would go for a HiFi cartdridge. I have the M97xE and the sound is amazing especially after the break in period. It also keeps the stylus clean from dust with a wiper on the cartdridge. Checkout http://www.needledoctor.com. They have extensive info on evey existing needle.

Remember to clean your records.

Yeah, you can bypass the internal preamp (via the switch on the back)! Really, believe me! Just try another phono stage like the one I stated. It'll make a difference, probably more than changing the cartridge. What kinda cart you have now?
