Question. Moving from MPC1000 to MPC2500 JJOS on Both

I had JJOS 4.99 on my 1000 (I still dont want to learn OS2), anyways, I just copped a 2500 brand new for less than $600!! I was wondering. I'm planning on installing the FREE JJOS. How does it compare to 4.99 on the 1000? I've been looking at screenshots and they look identical. Is it true? Is 4.99 on the 1000 the same as 3.10 on the 2500?

Also, did anybody else make a similar transistion? Will my programs be compatible?

Everything will be compatible. Free JJOS lacks a few features but I don't really miss them. Most important thing is that the free version offers global program edit mode and stereo chops. Check the comparison charts on the JJOS site.
