Does anybody know why the pitch changes when you record via digital in, then switch to analog? Is there anyway to prevent it from happening?

Pardon my ignorance, I searched but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!

Yezzir, you're most likely sampling a digital source with sample rate of 48,000 samples/second. MPC only plays back @44,100. It messes up playback speed as a result of the mismatch. I just change the tuning in the MP to correct the sample rate. Try these pitch settings--

+01.46 (for sample rate of 48,000) (most likely fix)

or

-05.54 (for sample rate of 32,000)

You're welcome. <knowledge dropped> :!:

The best and only way to prevent this is to set your master clock to 44.1kHz.
