i just insert it and then push it down till it is fitted between the platic holders...when booting up the 500 needs to load 4 simm parts according to the menu...but every time the first part reaches 50% it suddenly stops and the only thing i can do is remove the board.

the exm board seller agreed to give me a refund but i hope it´s not the 500 wich is messed up,if so will contact the 500 seller cause i paid over $300 for it.

you payed over 300 bucks for a 128 stick of ram? return it for a refund and buy the exact same thing (not made by akai) for 10 bucks.

oh, okay... yeah man if you look around the forums in the 500, and even the 1000 and 2500 sections you will see some ram related threads... some of them have the specs for the ram and if you see those you will be able to find random older computer ram that works in the machine... that is if you didn't sort the issue out yet.

good luck man.
