I aint gonna post my questions "out loud", but I will PM them. I have been stalling on JJOS, but it has been time to upgrade.

Im still using the akai OS.on the 2500. I originally had a 1000 way back when they first hit the shops and then got the jjos for it. As soon as i got the jjos i noticed the workflow change from what i was use to, and couldnt seem to make beats anywhere near what i did before. Anyway since then i bought a 2000xl, 4000 and a 5000. All of which i struggled to really get down with. The main reason i didnt like the 5000 was because of the bugs.
anyway last week i bought a 2500 fully maxed out with akai os and since then ive been making atleast a beat a day, ive put it down to the very simplistic nature of the akai os which is i know every button press for.
So i can say without any problem that im not going to ever change my 2500 to the jjos.
But i do have an issue with these clowns suggesting that they are better producers than me because they have the jjos!
What a **** stupid thing to say.

so you were making good stuff with the 1000 but then went jjos didnt like it ? then down graded to the 2kxl then upgraded to the 4k then upgraded to the 5k then downgraded to the 2500 ? seriously bro what the hell you up to ? sounds like you like wasting money lol lucky for some aye. and if you couldnt get down on them previous models it sounds like a user a problem dont blame the mpc or its os lol what you put in is what you get out yo. i just went jjos and its the buisness shouldve come standard when i brought my 2500 obviously you havent utilized ur mpc to its full potential if so ud have jjos and sounds like uve just wasted $ on to many mpcs rather than using them properly.

Ive been through most of the mpc range yeah! But i bought the likes of the 2k and 4k second hand and made money out of them. the only thing i lost money on was the 5k and that wasnt a great deal. infact over all i reckon ive probably made money cause i picked up the 2500 for 450 maxed out aswll . Anyway why you making it about money, you seemed to have totally missed the point? For instance you talk of the 2000xl as inferior to 1000 with jj os? is it? do you think the thousands of 2kxl users would agree with that? Why are the likes of say pete rock(the only one i can think of offhand) still using a 2000xl when there's a machine thats far superior?
I wasnt blaming the mpc's for the fact that i couldn't make beats the way i use to. It was just the fact that when i first really started to take it seriously i was using the original akai os and consequently that is now the os i feel very happy with.
You say that im not utilizing my mpcs potential, so what you are saying is you are utilizing it because you have jjos? and that your music is better than mine?

In this topic you seem to have people trying to justify, taking the piss out of people using the akai os!! The guy who started this thread asked why am i still using it and i told you!

This Bellend above me, has seemed to have come in here with a superiority complex and just had a go at me for answering a question.

Well peeps, I just picked up a 1000 and after working with it, I see that it has JJOS 4.85. So far, it is a different workflow from my 2500 - which is my centerpiece. I am still working through it, but I have found some nice features so far.

You'll appreciate the easier save/load function as well as GPE! Trust!

JJOS is cool! I do see that save and load are much improved. Also, playing two sequences at once is killer. I am having a ball with this 1000 on JJOS.

Just because pete rock still uses the xl doesn't mean the 1000 is not superior. Otherwise you'd say the 2500, 4000, and 5000 are also all inferior because pete rock doesn't use them. At the end it is just preference.

yeah but i didnt say that did i? im saying that just because someone uses a 1000 with jj os over an mpc 2000xl, doesn't mean that their ideas are limited and that they are inferior, because the sampler they use is inferior.
The point i was trying to make was that "At the end it is just preference" just like you, but for some reason you've just picked my pete rock example as a way of getting a word in.
