MPC for Live Perfomance

I have questions for mpc1000 users


1. Is it possible to load samples to MPC, then set for example 'Strings' to area C0 - C1 of MIDI keyboard, 'Piano' to area D1 - C4 and 'Rodes' from D5 - B5 ?

2. Can i user 1 sample for all area (will it be pitchshifted) ?

3. Can _one_ of areas be mono (only one note sounding - no chords) and have portamento ?

4. Is it possible to use it as MIDI controller for AutoTune (pre-recorded MIDI part for AutoTune) ?

5. Is it possible to load *.MID file to track?

is it possible with other MPC series devices?

You can do this, but what I believe you are looking for is in the JJOS side of things.

your questions confuse me, however for live performance and auto tune, the best way is to bounce out your song, record vocals in a daw, auto tune and fx that shit, then bounce it back in, play it as a one shot using track mute to quickly turn it off so it doesnt trigger.

i do that for live performances.

im personally interested it control change so my mpc can tell my synth to switch sounds instead of me pusshing the button...
how do i do that??/

^^^ The JJ OS allows you to assign MIDI Control Changes. I rely on that feature a lot.
