My mpc3000 does some strange things from time 2 time... First thing - it gets very hot in the summer so that the Program and Mixer buttons come to a point where they only respond when i push them to death - problem's away as soon as its colder around. However - the real strange thing is that the sequencer starts glitching in song mode or if i bounce the song back 2 a "24bar" sequence... So when i record a beat to the computer i got to restart the process a lot of times cause after a few moments the sequencer just "jumps" :x - from a kik 2 a snare or whatever... Isn't that strange?!

Anybody else knows about this - or is it just mine mp?! It got 32mb ram and the latest mansell labs rom

Not sure about the sequencer glitch, but it sounds like you may need some new tact switches- there are some links on what parts to get around here somewhere...

I noticed a similar thing in song mode when bouncing into protools (midi to protools and PT is the master controlling the MPC30000) i would have to sometimes re-start recording the track 1 or 2 times as the first time it would play the previous drum sound from the track before! This seemed to happen quite often actually.... Very Strange and this sounds like a similar issue to what you are talking about right? I am on the latest Vailixi OS, 32MB etc as well so maybe it is a glitch with the OS? I never had that issue with the older AKAI OS but maybe it is a hardware/software combo issue that i am overlooking... Maybe Rohan has some input to what this might be!

Midi Time Code or Midi Clock as Sync from Tools? When you say bouncing - I assume you mean tracking? I have two MPC-3000 both with latest OS from Mansell-Labs and they don't glitch via external sync in any mode under any load....D.
