OS2XL - NON-active track receive for MIDI?

Hi, I want to be able to sequence sounds in the MPC from my computer. However, the only track that receives MIDI information is the ACTIVE track, which means I am limited to only sequencing sounds from one program at a time. Is it possible to link the different MIDI channels of incoming MIDI to different tracks that are NON-active (that is, not selected in the 'MAIN' view). For example, my computer outputs MIDI on channel 2, and that is linked to, say, track 2; *simultaneously*, I output MIDI on channel 3, which is linked, say, track 3. Is this possible? I have tried setting the 'MIDI' to the desired channel for each track, but still only the active track plays the incoming MIDI.

Yeah, I'm sure that's the only way, as OS2xl's code is too much on the MPC as it is.
If we don't have an OS3 wish list topic, I recommend we start a serious topic and add it to the top of the list. There's still many of us here who have a lot of good suggestions that'll be feasible for JJ to implement.

Yeah, but JJ has said things are hard or impossible as reasons not to do them and then squeaked them in later under a point release.

I'm actually mostly happy with 2XL... just wish the Q-links were back to OS2 usefulness. There are a few more handy features I could probably come up with... but really even if this is the end of the line as it is right now for JJOS I really can't complain. Using the Akai OS in the stores and JJOS is just night and day the difference.
