So I just bought a maxed out mpc-60 with the scsi and roger linn OS, everything is working but...
After an hour with the unit it has started doing something really weird where suddenly if I'm trying to edit sounds and I'm in sounds> assign sounds> then when I press a pad and hold the pad at all it will start cycling through all the sounds really fast like it is selecting different sounds constantly. Even if I just touch the pad quickly to select which pad I want it will just fly through all the sounds and glitch out.
Not all the pads seem to be buggy like this, but it seemed to spread to more pads now. When I try to play a sound on these sometimes it will switch sounds while I play them! I checked to see if it was because the settings to allow different samples to play with different velocities but none of that is the case I've built the program out of nothing.
It's like there is some kind of note repeat happening but it's causing it to cycle through parameters, the note repeat seems to be a little chaotic. makes me think maybe the pads are failing?
I have an mpc-3000 and this hasn't happened to me so I can't figure it out, I'm worried it's somethine worse than just dying pads.
any thoughts would be much appreciated.
thanks
