Holy Shit. NAMM passed weeks ago. All Akai presented was an iPhone APP.

Is it safe to say the 5000 is now a legacy product :?: :?

I understand why they've concentrated on the mobile/Live user market. That's just business. Maybe now they will use some resources for a new OS.

Good luck with that. They have all but washed their hands of the 5000. Controllers and mobile devices are the only focus.

IDK, part of me wants to say the mpc's days are numbered. But then the other side goes with the mpc series hanging around just a bit longer than we'd expected.

i hope your right dabs. I would love to see at least one more MPC. I just wish they go all out... kinda like how alesis did with the andromeda...

not without spending money on RnD... look at the 5000... the wouldn't risk that by building a machine from the ground up. That may be why they are repackaging existing products... mostly from alesis.

I think they should call it quits. Just focus on the 5000. It has so much potential. Anything more would make the MPC too expensive and leads to thinking about a Neko or something.
