JJos2xl. Even when I play with the quantize off it never grooves exactly the way I play it.

The standard MPC 96 ppq resolution IS a little stiff. If you're very sensitive you can sometimes notice the resolution limiting your note placement. However at 196 ppq, I doubt you will ever notice your notes shifting around.

Even with quantize off, it still only has 96 ppqn, which will essentially quantize to that level. It may be that you're hearing this effect. If you double your tempo, you can get 192 ppqn, which may help everything slide into place that much better.
