Well the 2KXL has a BPM match function on the Timestretch screen (This is to featherboy)...
As far as quality of the Time strecth on the XL... It's good if you know what you're doing... It has presets....
Meaning that if I'm timestretching a series of Kick drums and I'm timestretching a melody... The XL is gonna timestrecth them differently.... It knows it'll have to spend much more time stretching the melody cause it's easy to spot... However, strecthing a low frequency rhythm might not take long at all...
Also you can compensate for certain things being stretched.... For instance it has a feature where you can focus more on the high freqeuncies or the low frequencies... I use this sometimes where I'll time stretch A loop I got off a record with a bassline and melody... Now I don't need the bassline to be strecthed perfectly cause I'm gonna filter it out and lay my own later... So I set it so that it only focuses on stretching the high end where the melody is... This will leave the bottom end a little choppy sometiems after stretching, but as I said I'm gonna filter that out anyways...
You gotta learn how to use it right just like anything else... But it gets the job done...
