wouldn't that just be two 2500s packaged in the same mpc case?

well, ... since more and more major producers on youtube are showing/endorsing NI maschine, ... something deep inside me, ... whether its right/wrong smart/stupid etc .... that "nukai" is going to attempt to steal the market away from it.

i think there will be a new version of something like the 1000

but there will never be a new 5000

and the 1000 will only be for the loyalist, .... not a cornerstone product

the main package will be something that attempts to steal market share away from NI Maschine.

i think that nukai, with its controllers for ableton live, ... and its partnership, ... is in the process of handing over the reigns to ableton in the 'sequencer' department.

if i was a betting man, ... this would be my bet.

like it, love it, leave it, or hate it, ... it is what it is.

Well there might be some truth to that... haven't been keeping it up on Live 9 news (if there even is any), but yeah wouldn't be surprised if Nukai had some additional hardware controller to peddle that ties in with Ableton Live.

Hrmmm...

Numark didn't have a single MPC at their NAMM booth. That tells me that the MPCs are pretty much past tense, but that's a good thing.

As long as Akai has a sales interest in the 5000 or any MPC, the door is closed for legitimate 3rd party support. Once they officially kill it off. The door is wide open for a JJ type OS.

That's why i bought the 5000 anyway. Because of it's potential. I'm willing to pay the price for a good new(commercial) OS.
