MPC 2500 pads gone haywire!! help plz

for some reason now when the pads on my 2500 are acting crazy...when i hit 1 pad it plays all the sounds in that program...even when i go to the program screen it wont go to the actual pad i hit...it will play all the sounds and visually it jumps to a bunch of diff pads before it settles on one and it is never the one i actually hit... However when i play the sounds from that program via MIDI controller it works perfectly fine...i have tried everything i can think of but cant figure this problem out...hopefully someone can help me plz

I had a pad problem similar to this before my pads stops working at all on the 3rd month of life of my MPC. One of my pads was not working and when pressed it triggered other pads with it. Than a few days later all the pads stopped suddenly. So I bough a new pad sensor and installed myself and everything was Ok for about 3 months and now the lower pads stopped working again so I think I may have another issue so I think I´ll buy the whole pad assembly and diss these new MPC´s quality control forever in my lifetime.

Don't you have warranty? Or why are you buying those parts?

My 2500 came with three years warranty.

after reading thru these topics...i tried installing the JJOS and it still is **** up....i tried factory reset but that was also epic fail...it seems the only other thing to do is open the machine up, jack it off, and hope it works when i put it back together

I had really weird pad behaviour a few weeks back - one pad triggering many samples, mute page behaving like it was bewitched or something. It eventually settled down to just pad 2 not registering any velocity, but worked for operations like load - just no way to trigger a sound. Tried reverting to Akai OS and back to JJ free edition (which I use) but no luck.

Eventually I loaded the JJXL demo, which kicked it back to life. Re-loaded the JJ free and everything works perfectly again.

I aint got a problem myself but I been following dunego's progress...

I had a similar issue, mine use to be just pad 13 but after trying every thing that i can and it did not work i decided not using my MPC any more,That was about 7 months ago till now. i decided to have a look at the forum today 12-07-2010 to see y am having issue with pads, 16 level, program change and the list goes. the sad thing is i have not used the unit for even close to six month before having this problem.

Please, the guy who talked about JJXL, would this work in my situation? if so how do i get it or were, * (I could google it but since some one has already tried it here) I can only trigger pad 1-4 from the moment i stopped using.

my pads are f*ck up to. when i hit pads surrounding pad 13 it triggier pad 13 when i release them. this problem occurs usually when the mpc have been on a while. at one time i was having my mpc 2500 on top of my akai s900 and that really f*cked it up. im thinking the problem might be related to heat? what are you guys thinking?

Sorry but am not sure if this kind of problem is related to heat. from my mind this is one of the major flaws in MPC. I though i will be able to find help here but is just not happening. there is a lot of people out there who want to know what exactly is the course but it appears to me that no body seems to know at least from those that i have seen their treads so far.

Good luck with the quirky Japanese-English instructions, but are pretty self-explanatory. There's a whole section of these forums devoted to the JJOS for MPC1K and MPC2500, if you get stuck.

Installing JJ as a fix is speculative at best, but **** it, you've got nothing to lose!

Question? any difference b/w JJOS AND JJOSXL, I have installed JJ 3.10 but could not get the link to JJOS-XL

I would have loved to change the pad sensor, I live in Luxembourg here and would be a pain to be able to get one, More also, Would the sensor problem relate to my 16 level button and the program not changing ? just incase i find any means of changing the sensor.

I know it's speculative, and I don't know why it worked for me, but it did. Maybe just a freaky coincidence.
