Do you remember the days when?

do you remember the days when you didn't know shit about sampling? and you would sample from shitty 80kbps MP3s? or sample synth drums without knowing they were synth. Or loop a sample from vinyl but didn't know how to find the bpm and the only way the drums were on time was by luck?

I don't know if this has happend to you all when u first started but it's happend to me.

lol mp3s have been around for awhile, but when I didn't know shit I would sample synth keyboard drums used in songs

its just funny cause alot of dudes on this forum have been doin this for 10 yrs.

I started off sampling cassette tapes in the mid 80's....Its funny how now I read alot of guys are sampling to tape to get a "warmer" sound...

I guess I was always on the right track

Ummmmm I do remember when I was but a tot I held up a casset player to the TV and recorded some songs off of MTV Countdown. Ahhhh those were the days. Breakin' the law without a care in the world.

Hmmm if I'm not the only one maybe I should try running my next track through the TV and re-recording it onto a cassette deck. You'd hear the wheels and gears spinning. The stop button. Somebody coughing in the background. Damn, that would be great.

Or record it by holding your cassette player through a microphone while taking a isht and a piss in your toilet.. that would praobably sound great with a flush in the backgound.-.
