My turntable is really quiet when connected to my mixer

When i make beats in logic running through my mixer the sound is fine (behringer 1204 mixer) but when i connect my Numark tt1650 to my cd/tape input even with the volume full blast its really quiet. Anyone know why?

because you are not running through a phono pre amp to boost the signal.

Yes, the cd/tape input is a Line signal, not phono.

A phono preamp is what you need, which can go for $25 to $100, or get a professional DJ mixer.

Just google phono preamp and sort by price under shopping. You'll see a bunch. All its doing is boosting signal.
