midi controllers

so i heard that there is a "midi flute" i looked it up and saw that akai has one. that runs alongside another piece of outboard gear. i would love to have a wind controlled midi instrument. i bought the heil talkbox a while ago but have not figured out what it takes to hook it up to either of my keyboards or my mpc 2000xl.. but on the midi controller note of it all anybody got any experience with this????? i think i remember the flute being like $300 and i'm not sure what the other piece of hardware costs?? do i need it or can i just get the flute and rok out with my 2kxl???

The controllers I know are just wind controllers, they just spit out midi data based on fingering bite and breath. SOme even have a mod wheel.

The tone module on some of them is analog, simple, but nice. It is just basically a controller, so if you know how to play those instruments it is a good alternative to a keyboard.
