direct access on pads in 2500 os2

as well as XL has numeric keys for direct access to the different modes.
some user with MPC2500 os2 ver.1.22 know, if it has any direct access mode on the pads?
for example.
I know that if we go to the mixer mode, we should press mode + pad 8.
my question is, there is another way to do it?

keystroke combinations for different functions. I did not mention about the combination,
in this case is a case similar to press a pad (note on, loop) + track mute or next sequence button.
finally, we had and we have, things hidden inside our mpc.
We have direct access to os2 pads in 2500, but not entirely perfect.

key switching between buttons: main & mode (buttons)

I have different machines,
2 MPC´s
2 roland´s
1 Oberheim
1 JOEMEEK
1 SFB2
and .....
all functions and applications that include these machines, the
run properly. (Always more functions could be asked, but I'm not saying this at this time)

I've never seen anything so surprising as JJos.
The saddest thing is that I paid money for it.
I, and many many users, we feel cheated by JJ, also directly by akai.

do you mean that when hitting various buttons, sometimes the wrong screen comes up?
pressing random buttons triggers a bug that changes screen?

you to go through the modes, do the following:
press mode button + pad 1 = mode access qlink
press mode button + pad 8 = mode access mixer......



and I do:
without pressing the mode button,
press pad 8 = direct access mixer.
press pad 1 = direct access qlinks.
press pad xx = direct access xx.

so it sounds like you are reporting a bug: that when you hit a pad, it responds as if the MODE button is pressed when it is not. example: pressing pad 1 - instead of triggering a sound it takes you to the qlink screen. is that correct?

other than that, i'm not sure what you could mean. i've never heard of anything called 'direct access mode'.

keep in mind that it seems like you are reporting a bug that no one else has, which means:

1. you have a hardware problem with your machine.
perhaps the MODE button is becoming defective (needs new switch).

2. your settings have become corrupted.
(hold down the ERASE key and then start up your machine. it will wipe all your settings clean. it is important to do this when you switch between OS's)

other than that, if you want a bug-free os, use OS 2.

Yeah sounds like a hardware or a narcotic problem

i think this is a hardware problem. has happened to me before..........if im understanding you correctly:

when you hit mode plus a pad to enter a menu, it sometimes opens the wrong menu and is completely random. Like if you try to go to trim, you get pgm window? right?

i resolved this by pushing my pads up to the top of the mpc, as if they slightly moved over time and wherent seated right. dunno compltete but pushing against the pads to shift/move them slightly, seemed to work.

i get this too ever since i installed the new pads. it makes sense that since the pads are all on one sheet, if you move one pad the other pads around it might move slightly as well.

it doesn't happen often enough that i have tried to fix it but i imagine tightening or losening the screws holding the top frame down might help.
