for some reason i think this exists? like you can select a section and do a copy/paste/move....or am i thinking of something else not in grid?

I dunno about MOVE but with the actual workflow :

if you have a kick, a charley and a stick at let's say 1.06.13 and you want to try them at 1.06.12 or 1.06.14,
you have to maintain COPY and select the 3 elements then DELETE them at 1.06.13 because of the lack of another Zoom In level. Then you press SHIFT + Data wheel to PASTE them at 1.06.12 or 1.06.14 and if you're not satisfied you always have to DELETE and rePASTE (there's another problem with the UNDO SEQ function).

Well there are workarounds just like pressing EDIT and moving each element individually or using the MOVE function in STEP EDIT or making SIMULT stuff but I think there's something not well thought in the GRID EDIT for the changes desccribed earlier.

The list is prety long already so I havent read threw the hole thing so if I repeat anybody sorry. But I would like to be able to change the DRUM and Instrument mode after the pgm has been made. So if I have a Drum PGM I could switch it to an instrument and vice versa. Also I would like to be able to loop individual tracks at different loop points. Like I could have track 1 looping at 1 bar, and have track 2 looping for 4 bars. Dont no if this is even possible at all but maybe with the pitch effect in trim mode could it have a speed up slow down effect. Basically could the mpc have a destructive tape stop added. Also with the time adjust and pitch shift could we get a pitch shift but the timing stay the same. Also how about putting some of the effects in the trim section like eq and comp.
Thanks

* also in program mode: a "loop-endless" option: the sample starts to play when you hit the pad und then loops until you hit the same pad again. (Like the SP 404 does); this option could be in the ONE SHOT/NOTE ON - Menu. (ONE SHOT/NOTE ON/ENDLESS, or something like that.)

hi nextaz,
if i understand properly what you are after, one way of making this happen is to press down a pad (set to note on) and press track mute - or numeric if the cursor is in a numeric field - and the sample will continue to play until you hit the pad again, or send a all note stop message (hit stop 3 timmes in quick succession) peace al

I've started to train at live drumming with the MPC.
It would be dope if there would be a possibility to save different PAD SETTINGS.

err - no its not good for me

I play live (with emu e5000) and start and stop various loops - (while playing other things too) - so want to have possibility to do it really straight to rhythm and with more than one loop at once.
Want to use my mpc for that.

It should be ease to implement(i hope) :)

I haven't updated for a few months so this may have been sorted, but I find it really annoying that once you load a project, the root project folder is not stored for when you hit 'save'.

I accidentally lost a nights work last night by navigating back to my project folder and hitting load instead of switching to save. Grrrrrrr....

Hi man, i admit i don't really know what you mean by "do it really straight to rhythm," but this can be used to run more than one loop at once, i'm pretty sure - you just have to take care when setting up your programmes that hitting one pad doesn't turn off a loop you've already got running (i.e., if you have it set to mono, or you have something set up in the mute groups).
of course, i agree it would certainly be nice to have an option of press button for loop on, press button again for loop off...

i mean - if there is live situation with live drummer (with click) and You play also other things i dont have time (and third hand :) ) to pressing additional key or something only to start/stop loop sample.

1.Independent loop points like on the Triton or any korg seq
2.The ability to play the seq when loading drum sounds or samples
3.Vocal cut filters for Mono sample
4.The ability to compare seqs like on the Triton
5.The ability to save your favorite sample in a folder that auto-loads w/o making a auto-load folder
6.A bounce playback setting like on Image-Line's Direct Wave Sampler where it plays forward to the end of the sample then backward at the end of the sample

Would be one of the most useful feature I think.

tkmuzik wrote:5.The ability to save your favorite sample in a folder that auto-loads w/o making a auto-load folder

I don't use AUTOLOAD folder but check below :

Note: The auto load of the two arbitrary folders can be carried out.

And i forgot to say a DELETE F-key in LOAD MODE too (not only SAVE) would be dope in my opinion.

on the move thing - it would be cool if it worked the same in drum tracks as in midi tracks, where you can select the note, edit, highlight the time, and slide it back and forth with the data wheel. I know you can do that a little bit with the number in parentheses, but it would be nice to go beyond one quantize step.

also, would like to set sample start in the program, not just by recording with the slider.
