I'm not that experienced sampling viny, but I've been using this usb turn table to sample into my computer and chopping up from there. Is there anything I'm missing out on by doing this? Is it necessary to sample through a mixer into the MPC to boost certain signals to get the best of each drum?

Thanks

No, the usb converts it automaticaly a digital signal which is automaticaly powerful enough. I don't know if this matters to you but u do have another type of signal processing when u sample throught usb into ur computer instead of going through a dj mixer straight into the mp.

Okay that's good to know. What is this other type of signal, and what is the difference?
