Convert Song

Hi,

Ive searched the forums and read the manual but still cant seem to get rid of this problem and find a solution, I create my sequences then go into Song Mode and arrange my track, everythings fine, but then I want to convert my song into one long sequence, I do this no problem, it converts it, i go to play my sequence i see its like 150 bars long or so, but its just the first sequence looped all the way through, i use the locate keys to go to diff parts of the sequence but its still just essentially one 150 bar looped first sequence? Ive read the manual and it doesnt mention anything about this, In song mode I have LOOP OFF selected. Is there something im missing? If someone could help me it would be massively appreciated as its stopping me from editing my arrangements more accurately, instead of having a really basic song structure.

is it just playing 4 bars then looping OR is the converted song to sequence 150 bars of the first 4 and did not properly convert the song to sequence?

if its the first thing make sure the "loop to bar #" on the main screen is set for the very last bar (bar 150) or the beginning bar 1 (i cant remember now!) does that help?

cheers for the reply, its the latter, its 150 bars of the first 4 bars looped, i have Loop set to 'OFF' i really dont understand it? im on a mk II os 2.12 if thats any help? is it something im doing wrong or is it not converting correctly? ive converted the song 3-4 times same problem, i thought it maybe that i have little sequence memory available but i checked and i have around 85% sequence memory available so it cant be that!

its a right pain because now im having to construct my tracks copying the bars and then doing erases live and going into step edit mode for more detailed edits, which is really tedius as sometimes things dont flow as i want so my arrangement changes all the time. where as if i could just make a basic song structure in song mode i can edit the sequences using mutes so the basic arrangement can be changed quickly. hopefully someone can help as at the moment its got me completely baffled!
