Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000
By thelethalkid Fri Jul 23, 2010 1:01 am
I am trying to hook up speakers to my mpc 4000 and the sound is extremely low coming out of the speakers (i have tried 3 different speakers), Although when i put my headphones in, the sound is fine.. anyone know what might be wrong?

Also, does anyone know what the defualt or "best" settings there are for recording beats (on the Main screen), i recently messed around with the main screen, and now cant seem where i went wrong because when i try to record somthing, it doesn't play back exactly what i recorded, it like over dubs.. is there a way to set it to default or know why it's not recording EXACTLY what I record?

-Thanks, Lethalkid

The 4k has no built in amplification. You'll need either powered monitors or an amp/speakers.

Plus, have you dug into the manual yet?
