basic queries

I know these topics have been covered before but I cannot find them
anywhere on the forum...here goes: -

1) How can I get a sample to stop playing when I stop pressing the pad (for example, for it to stop halfway through playing).

2) When I delete a sound in sequence, how can i delete the remainding
dead sound.

3) Am i right to believe that when I want to save something (to floppy unfortuntely as I cant get the poxy zip disk to be recognised) I have to
save each sound (one by one) and then save the sequences/programs.

sorry for the hassle...

1. set the pad to note off under the params screen (shift 6, then f2)

2. I completely do not understand your question here. when you delete a sound in a sequence it is deleted.

3. you do not have to save each sound seperately, just make sure your program is named and save the program and tell it to save with sounds.

maybe you were asking about how to delete the silence, or bridge the gap in between the stuff before and after the deleted parts. that gets alot tricker, but you can copy/paste notes and whole bars around by going to step edit, or step edit, then copy/bars.

Maybe, hes talking about when you trim a sample, when you go to save at the end of your session, you need to have "replace same samples" turned on, otherwise when you reload your song, whatever trims and cuts you did aren't saved. Hmm.. i dunno.

somehow based on the other questions, i dont think thats what he was asking.

you can delete the bars and bring your shit together.
