The digital out volume is connected with the stereo bus. The digital inputs have to be configured in the mixer preferences. Go to menu > preferences > mixer and there you can assign the digital input to stereo pair A/B, C/D, E/F, or G/H. When recording, set the faders that your using and the stereo bus to 0 then control the record volume with the corresponding trim knobs. As far as EQ goes, just select the channel(s) that you want to EQ and press the EQ button.

Though I had the 2488 1st edition, I usually ran the stereo outs into a linked stereo of inputs on the 2488 then tracked each part at good rec level to separate onboard tracks to mix afterwards. I think the neo version has given you more harddrive space and mastering effects to work with

I meant how did you send your signals back to the MPC, i wanted to edit the sample with the NEO and send it to the MPC's digital in, but the volume was an issue, i was asking if you guys used another method or maybe im just overthinking the situation.
