couple days ago my "ice" bong decided to explode over my mpc3000 and the rest of my gear. im assuming the glass was not treated properly to handle the heat and ice so the bottom cracked and blew out. anyways luck has it that nothing was turned on so i was disassemble everything that was soaked and it has now been sitting by a fan thats been hopefully drying everything for the past couple of days. fingers crossed everything works properly when i turn it in aprox a weeks time.

Do not rely on a fan to dry everything off as it may still leave moisture on the electronics.

Desiccants work best, but with a large pieces such as a 3000, you may want to place it inside a bag with a lot of uncooked rice inside. The rice will slowly draw away the moisture from the electronic pieces.

today is a good day. prior to turning on the mpc3000 i took all the boards out and carefully examined them to ensure there was no water or remaining moisture. and to my great fortune everything works and functions just as good prior to the horrifying incident. mpchunter the rice and what not sound like an awsome idea but the fan and blowdryer i used for the past several days to dry it off worked like a charm. the mpc gods are in my favour. iv actually decided to take a break from smoking after this incident. i felt like some greater forces were at work that made me choose between my mpc and my smoking habits, so i choose my mpc haha. *sigh* it would of realy sucked if it did not turn on.

Pretty good portable job. How does it handle multi-person sessions?

good to see everything turn out well. my best advice for smoking and drinking in the studio is to have one of them small fold-up tables set aside safely from your gear. at worst, if you spill anything, you'll only be cleaning the table and the floor.

your lucky man. Years ago I had to train myself to always keep drinks and bongs on the "party" coffee table and away from my gear. Blunts are pretty rough on gear btw. I repair gear everyday and you would be surprised at how much blunt residue is in dude's gear. +1 on the vaporizer.
