Yep, I said it. I bought the ASR because of the limitless libraries available for it, and some sampling. So, when you have these two MIDI'ed up together, which sequencer to use? IMO the XL's sequencer is just so much more capable, and I could sequence notes from the ASR with the xl, but I heard the ASR's sequencer is dope as chit too. Thoughts? Advice?
HELP!!?!!

Build the same track using both sequencers. Which ever one suits your work flow - there is your choice!!

Cool, welcome to the club!

If I'm not mistaken, both the xl & asr share the same ppqn (96) type sequencers. But I think you'd have a bit more control using the xl's seq over the asr's.

However, I constantly read about katz around here copping asr's left to right, while I've been sitting on mine and not using it for a minute now.

It does make me want to pull that joint out and get busy though.

yep, its more of a 8 tracks vs 99 tracks that make me lean towards the XL. Does the ASR have swing? If so, how does it sound in comparison to the xl's?

Unfortunately the asr doesn't have a dedicated swing function, but you could and like you said, either midi that joint up to the mpc and use its seq as the master, or quantize using triplets on its internal seq.
