SAving sequences

I know we have been over this before..but I took a break to go to Afghanistan trying to make some bread. I took my MPC with me thinking I could teach myself how to save what I create, but I still can't get right! I make the sequence...save it to floppy (which saves as a .mid file). When I try to load it back into the MPC after shutdown either it isn't loading or I'm missing something because I can't get it back. So here's my question...when it saves as a .mid file...do I need another piece of equipment to hear the playback or am I just not understanding? Please help..because I have a tendency to create the illest shit knowing I can't save it. The brother gots to leave the mpc on all the time just to perfect the beats! Is there any help for the preachers Son?

Try saving the sounds with it

I thought I was. So you mean to tell me that you can save the data without saving the sounds? How do I do that?

If you save only a .mid file you store only the sequence data without any sounds. If you load only that up, you will obviously not hear any sound unless you load the corresponding sounds as well.

Best way is to Save All Sequences & Songs and Save All Programs & Sounds if you want to store the complete project. You will notice that saving/loading the sequences is way faster because it only contains some note data and no WAVs.
