using a guitar tuner for sampled instruments in your beat

wassup, is it possible to use a guitar tuner for sampled kicks, snares, basslines just by putting a guitar tuner to your monitors and playing your kick/snare/bass/or your main acutal sample from your MPC?

also which methods to do guys use for tuning drums?
people have said using pitch shift can make you lose the initial punch of the sampled snare/kick
and ive also heard people say they eq the fundamental frequency so how would you do this on the MPC..

also if you have ideas on how to get the kick, snare, bassline to mesh nicley with each other please post below

Maybe a thread title like "How do you tune drums to match the beat" would have been better.

And 'meshing' or mixing your drums is another subject altogether, look around this forum for threads on mixing.

There are many of them so do yourself a favour and help yourself!!

Don't be afraid to go 25 pages deep if you have to, the fundamentals of mixing are timeless.
