Over the weekend I got my hands on used 2500, unfortunately I had no means to check the inputs at the spot we met up. Took it home hook it up, and left record input is extremely low and bit disorted. Which leads me to believe somebody ran too hot singal into it. For a tool and handy oriented person, is it possible to replace the input yourself. If I de-soldier pair of input from old 2000 classic, would those work in 2500 ? As much as possible Im trying to avoid sending it out to forat for a $300 job.

Any input is much appreciated, thanks

Have not tried the digial inputs yet, I'll try cleaning the contacts as suggested.

Cuz logically thinking both inputs would be fried not just one, so it might be just corrosion after all.

Thanks
